Ok, so I was totally right about yesterday’s weight gain being water weight most likely and dropped 1.2 pounds this morning!
I was running so late today though that I didn’t have time to pack my lunch for work, and hit up burger king instead. I got a bad headache immediately after.
After taking three Advil, I eventually felt better. For dinner I decided to do something mostly healthy and had a salad with three chicken tenders on top of it. It was pretty good, and filled me up quite nicely.
Although I totally went over my 50 carb goal, I’m not gonna worry about it. Basically because I got totally wicked awesome news today!
I applied for my dream job last month, and after sending several follow up emails, I’ve been selected to move on to phase two of the hiring process! I was told there was quite the large number of applicants, so I feel ecstatic to have made it to the next round.
I don’t know how many rounds there are before the face-to-face interview, and I know I shouldn’t get too excited yet, but I just can’t help it!
OK, I need to not count my chickens before they hatch. Can’t be too optimistic, can’t be too pessimistic…just need to be realistic. The reality is I’ve made it to the second phase of the hiring process, and I need to do my best to make it to whatever comes next. I could make it to the final interview, and still not get the job. I need to prepare for that possibility (or not even making it to the next round even!) so I don’t get heartbroken should it happen.
So with all this excitement that’s popped up, I’m gonna wait with doing the low carb thing until later. I’m still following the diet correctly as long as I keep to my 400 cal days–that’s the most important thing. No matter what happens, that’s the one thing I need to keep up.
