I gained eight ounces which sets my weight loss back like a week. I figured that I was probably going to gain a little weight when I stepped on the scale this morning, but I wasn’t prepared for that. I’m currently telling myself that most of it has to be water weight in combination with having eaten so close to bed time. Hopefully by tomorrow it’ll be gone again.
You might think I’m being ridiculous for being bummed out over ounces gained, but when you’re weighing yourself on a daily basis, ounces feel like a big deal. Gotta say daily weighing definitely helps keep you accountable…
Anyway, so what I’ve learned is these three things if you don’t want to gain weight:
- Don’t eat so close to bedtime
- Don’t mix high fat with high carb on a high calorie day
- Don’t eat if I’m not actually friggin’ hungry (like mindlessly snacking while watching TV last night)
I had a hard time sleeping, and woke up feeling sick and sad. And the whole weight gain thing didn’t help. I was even tempted to call in sick to work, but I needs the monies (especially with the way I’ve been eating out the past few weeks).
On a positive note, I brought my lunch that I packed yesterday with me to work, and stayed within my four hundred calories for diet day easy-peasy. Considering I wasn’t feeling all that well, I didn’t exactly have much of an appetite today anyway.
And as of right now, before going to bed, I am still not particularly hungry.
Now tomorrow is a free day and my goal is to eat healthy and stay under 50 grams of carbs. Wish me luck!
